Gary Lavelle
Gary Lavelle played 21 years in professional baseball. Fourteen years were in the Major Leagues.
Some of his pro-ball accomplishments include 2-time National League All-Star, all-time appearance
leader for the San Francisco Giants, 2nd all-time Giants saves leader, 1970 all-decade team relief
pitcher, and a lifetime ERA of 2.96. He was a pitching coach for the New York Yankees for 5 years.
Gary's secondary school-level experience includes Greenbrier Christian Academy coach for 11 years,
Private Schools State Coach of the Year 7 times, won 7 State Championships, 2000 New York Penn
League Champions, 2002 Eastern League Champions, and coach for the 2004 Eastern League All-Star
game.
